capturing memories that will last a lifetime
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Always meet your suppliers and gain contacts. Don't be afraid to ask questions
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once initial contact has been made, I advise couples to arrange one of our free no obligation home visits, so they can meet us and discuss everything in detail. This also provides a great opportunity to see our portfolio printed off, Our contract and to see if they are comfortable with us capturing their memories on their special day. Then if they decide to book, there will be paperwork to fill in, deposit required at this stage (range between £30 - £50 depending on chosen package), then the month before wedding we meet for pre wedding shoot, also 25% of remaining balance is due, 1 week before we arrange a phone call to confirm all details. On the day remainder of balance required. 4-6 weeks after wedding delivery of discs.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Just after all the group photos, I ask the couple to spend some time just the two of them. Then I step back and capture that moment when they realise they are finally married and all the stress and worry is gone. This is the most natural and happiest moment of the day.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
it was a photo of the brides underwear and accessories which she wanted as a canvas on the wall. In the editing process I had to match the colour of the matte edge effect to the colour of her wall.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
not to stress, Rainy days can make beautiful settings too. We always carry umbrellas for the immediate wedding party and there is usually somewhere dry to have the photos done if it is too wet. Also if you have booked us for all day photography, we can always do those group photos after the meal
Describe how you got into photography.
I have always loved my photography and have always believed that you should capture all your memories via photo or video as a back up as unfortunately our mental memories may fade over time, but there are two main reasons why I started my own business. Firstly while studying photography as part of a interior design course, I attended a friends wedding and took advantage of the occasion to complete a course module. My friends later told me my photos were better than the professional they had hired. Secondly when it came to my own wedding, I couldn't find a photographer that offered me every image taken, within my budget and without any hidden extras. Adding these two reasons and my natural love of photography I decided to start a business offering affordability, quality, flexibility and no limits to my packages while making my website as transparent as possible so couple knew what and who they were getting to share their memories with
