Helen Warner Photography Full Description
Hello. I'm a photographer of love stories, best known for capturing the organic, intimate moments of couples hopelessly in love. I specialise in natural storytelling with a fine art approach, creating light-filled, dreamy images to make your wedding look at its most beautiful. I capture the soft romance of the bonds between couples and the happy sweet affection that is the heart-warming essence of every wedding. I use natural light to compose the most flattering portraits, seeking to capture the gentle, joy-filled moments between soulmates. I love to work with couples who see their wedding as a personal expression of their story, who are excited about creating a day full of warmth and love. I feel hugely privileged to witness these never-to-be-forgotten moments of happy tears as you say 'I do'; the lingering looks of emotions impossible to put into words; the 'I can't believe we just did this!' grins at each other as your families shower you with confetti; the deep affection between relatives generations apart; the laughter of friendships decades long. I am a hopeless romantic, and it is these heart-warming experiences that I love crafting into tender heirloom images for you to treasure. Throughout your day I will always aim to make you feel relaxed, offering gentle and friendly guidance but always mindfully, observing what makes your energy and love for each other, and those dear to you, unique, amazing and beautiful. I am available for weddings, engagements, elopements, or any photography session to celebrate your love, anywhere in the UK or across Europe. When I'm not photographing a wedding you'll find me either enjoying the galleries and theatres of London, this fabulous city which is my home, practising yoga or modern jive, or most likely, out of doors, gardening or exploring the wilds with my Irish husband and our loyal hound, Captain. I would love to hear from you!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Speak to your photographer about allowing enough time in your schedule for all the beautiful images you would like to have

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I ask each couple to tell me as much as possible about their wedding plans at the point of booking. I love hearing all about their ideas, their venues, what is important to them for their big day and any styles they have chosen. At this point I can usually tell if I am a good fit for them as a wedding photographer. My portfolio is full of light and airy photographs and it would be unfair on the couple if I accepted a wedding in the evening in Winter in a dark venue and they expected to receive images in my usual style. I will also talk them through how I work, some tips on allowing time in their schedule for particular photographs and what they can expect from me both on the day and following the wedding. I think it's important that couples feel really comfortable with who they are booking, so that they know they can relax on their wedding day and trust me to achieve the photographs they want. Once a couple confirms that they would like to book I send them a straight forward booking form, confirming all the terms and conditions together with a deposit for 25%. When I receive both of those back, signed and paid for the booking is complete! It can take quite a long time for couples to confirm all their plans for a wedding day so I wait until 8 weeks before the big day to get in touch to request a final schedule. Then I will suggest some times to have a phone conversation to go through everything in detail, so that we confirm which photographs are happening when and to remind them of my delivery schedule following the wedding. I will also invoice for the remainder fee at this point. Following the wedding day, I review and edit the images, selecting the best and then upload them to an on-line gallery. Each couple will receive a link to their gallery within 6 weeks of their wedding, which they can share with family and friends and on social media. They can also order prints. At this point, I will also send the couple a USB stick containing all the final high-res edited images in a beautiful keepsake box. Couples can come back to me at any point to order prints, beautiful albums and fine art books.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A beautiful portrait of the bride & groom, in natural light, in a pretty garden is a must. It is always the photograph that you will look back on.
