Planning your wedding in Kent? Meet Helen Batt, a talented wedding photographer based in a charming village just outside Ashford. With 17 years of experience, Helen’s passion lies in capturing the true story and emotions of your big day as they naturally unfold. Her heartfelt, natural approach means you can relax and fully enjoy every special moment with your loved ones, while she documents it all.
Helen’s photography style is best described as documentary—focused on real, authentic moments rather than posed shots. She knows that being in front of the camera can feel awkward, so her friendly and relaxed manner helps you and your guests feel comfortable. You’ll hardly notice her presence, but her photos will beautifully bring you back to the emotions and atmosphere of your wedding day.
Inspired by the stunning Kent countryside and the simple beauty of human connection, Helen creates images that are both meaningful and timeless. Over the years, she’s photographed weddings at a variety of venues—from grand castles and stately homes to rustic barns and country churches across Kent and beyond—bringing expert knowledge to every setting.
My own
Unobtrusive, Documentary, Relaxed, Creative, Natural
The fact that my couples are happy with the photos I give them.
Enjoy the whole process, from the planning to the very end.
A groom giving his bride to be an album of images from moments they have shared together reminding her of why they are getting married as present before the ceremony,
It usually starts with an email followed by a meeting at my studio and then once the decision has been made to book we confirm via email again. Then we arrange a pre wedding photoshoot and discuss in more detail arrangements for the day.
There is no #1 photo, every wedding is unique and my aim is to look for the special moments that happen at each couples wedding.
Unique photos to the couple are always original, it's best to let things unfold naturally and not orchestrate photos.
