Gina Dearden Photography Full Description
Weddings large or very small, castles and hotels, a thousand photos or fifty, I enjoy being part of them all. I have been as far as Los Angeles and as close as a glade in the New Forest. The photography will be tailored to your ideas, with as much discussion as you want, or I can take care of it all. All your photos are yours as full resolution files which would make poster sized prints, and I provide a set for small prints and one for email.. I correct every one to give the best result for printing or digital media. You can have photos in black and white, or sepia and I can give you special effects. Large groups can be taken in several shots and joined together digitally to give a record of everyone there. Prices vary with the time and work needed, ranging from £550 for a few hours to about £1200 for early morning till after the first dance... I can provide a second photographer if needed. If you want an album, or photo books of all your friends we would discuss prices and presentation, and extra DVDs of photos and an online gallery are part of the service.

Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Gina Dearden
Wedding days are wonderful, and a the photography can record all the things that you are too occupied to notice. Flowers and pets, faces of happy family and guests, such fun to look at later, and will last for ever. Good luck with all your planning. Gina

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

One at Highcliffe Castle

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Communication between people, beautiful composition, technical excellence.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Quality of my photos, unobtrusive photography, rapport with bride and groom. Photos ready within 10 days.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Plan everything, but be flexible if changes are needed, perhaps bad weather or some change at the venue. Don't worry too much.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A personal photoshoot, in a lovely setting just for the newly married couple

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We meet at a place of their choice to discuss possibilities. I visit the venue for the ceremony and if possible the reception. Photoshoot before the wedding if you want it. Sometimes hen night, or family parties before ceremony. Photography all wedding day. Photos ready by the time you return from honeymoon!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

Just the new couple straight after being married

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Bride and groom, walking into the sea. She held her dress up, but it all got very wet and she scattered flowers on the waves.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

White umbrellas work well and make a good light on the faces underneath. A well lit place inside for the groups. Too much flash looks artificial.

Describe how you got into photography.

I went to Art College in London and worked painting backgrounds for TV., Blue Peter, Captain Pugwash. From there to props and some photography for Ken Russell films. Set up print workshop and made fabrics for the Royal Shakespeare Co. and sold to Liberty and Sachs in New York. The designs involved photography, which I then taught in Art Colleges, and later decided to go freelance. I was invited to do weddings, and enjoyed the experience.
