Describe your typical process with a couple.
After an initial enquiry, we can have a chat on the phone/facetime/zoom to discuss things further. Following this, if I am then booked to photograph the wedding, we can have a meet up perhaps at the venue so we can chat and discus the plan of the day.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
If you are lucky enough to have your grandparents at your wedding then having a photo with them is definitely a must.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I am 100% happy to venture out in the rain, all of my kit is weather sealed, I also have a few other tricks to keep things dry. Some of my most memorable images have been taken in the rain. Bring some cool umbrellas, just embrace the raindrops. I have photographed plenty of weddings in the rain, as a photographer you just think outside the box a little.
Describe how you got into photography.
After my eldest son was born, my wife gave me a camera as a gift, and that was it, totally hooked from day 1. I now study photography history and collect rare and wonderful photobooks, so for me it's not just about photographing weddings, it's now just an obsession, part of my life.
