Claire Bemister Photography Full Description
With half day packages from £400, and full days from just £900, there's sure to be an option that's right for you, and if not, we can create it! Whether you prefer a digital only service, prints or albums (or even a combination of all three!) I'll be here to guide you through all the options. We'll have a pre-booking meeting so you can show me your vision for the day, let me know your photography wishlist, and we work out your specific package which is all detailed within your contract. We'll keep in touch up until the big day so if you want to throw any last minute changes or additions I'm totally ready to catch them. On the day, I'll merge into the background for candid documentary style images that tell the story of your day, and capture you and your guests naturally. I will gently guide your couple's portraits so they are natural reflections of you both, but also so they are striking images in their own right. If you would like a second shooter that's also an option - the bonus of this is that there are so many more angles of the day covered, such as guest interactions whilst the couple portraits are happening, candid images during the speeches, or groom prep as well as bridal prep! After your day, I go through every single image with a critical eye and individually edit them to ensure you receive the highest possible quality. I arrange the images to take you on a journey through your day. Every couple will receive an online highlights gallery that they can share with family and friends, but USB delivery is also an option - this option provides image files both optimised for screen display and sharing online, and also those optimised for print paper. I am able to print your photographs professionally for you, but I am also happy to advise on how to get the most out of your images when it comes to selecting print paper, dimensions, framing etc. I also like to pop in extra treats when it comes to the delivery of your images, but shhh!

Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Claire
Hello! If you're looking for a photographer with bundles of energy and unafraid to look utterly ridiculous to nail the perfect shot, then you're in the right place! My images are full of depth and contrast, and I work with my couples closely to tailor their story faithfully to their characters, contributors and home. I will help to advise on print sizes and mount options, and album design, creating bespoke packages as required, finding a photography fit as perfect for you as each other!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What about your business are you most proud of?

I would have to say that I'm pretty proud of the fact that I do my utmost for each couple and family that I find myself working with - if I can go the extra mile then I will! Whether that's a little extra surprise when you receive your prints, braving a nettle patch for a great angle or helping a guest down some steps, I like to treat my clients with the same thought as I would my dearest friends.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

When I first receive your enquiry, I will email you back as soon possible with some further details and probably a few questions. I'll then hopefully get to chat to you over the phone to get a little more information and hear a bit about you both and your day. I love to meet my couples in person and this is a great time to understand what you both aspire to see in your images and work out how you plan to use them. I will present you here several package options and we work together to curate it perfectly for you. After this, the deposit payment secures your booking, and the contracts are signed. We keep in touch right up until the big day whenever you have something you'd like me to know, or ask me anything (always happy to help), and I make sure I get in touch with you too! After your big day, I beaver away with your images, editing and curating your gallery, before delivering any product you have chosen. If it's possible for you to come to the office to see your images before they go live on the online gallery, it's a really special opportunity for you to share this moment privately as a couple, and select any prints or album images over a cup of tea or glass of prosecco!

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Wellies! And maybe an umbrella, but most importantly an optimistic spirit and the spirit of good time! As they say, "There's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing"... but if it's really not an option (given that wedding attire may in itself not be the most practical with severe weather) we can find an indoors solution that works just as well.

Describe how you got into photography.

My grandfather was a passionate photographer who would set up a projector screen to show all his holiday images (back in the days of slide film) and I found myself with my own camera in hand at 9 years old. It was a 35mm film point and shoot - no zoom! - and would click at things that took my fancy, anything I found had a beautiful shape. I remember crawling on the floor of the soggy woods aged 12 with this camera to photograph the way the light hit the leaves fallen on the floor, and creating my own rough hewn wooden box frame mount - my mother despaired! But that passion and enthusiasm has never left me (and nor has the camera, although it now belongs to my little boy).
