What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding that I have photographed has been special. I have been very lucky to work with couples that love their wedding and love their pictures afterwards.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Relaxed, informal, fun, discreet, classic, timeless, elegant.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Being able to capture images of people and places that people love.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy your day and get some time to yourselves even if only for a few minutes. It is your day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Having a sweet tooth I love pick and mix displays. If there are foamy bananas on there I have to keep my hands on the camera and keep walking.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We meet in advance of wedding to discuss style and options. We then choose required images and on the day I aim to be there from getting ready to last dance and everything in between. Images are fully edited and presented with lightning speed. (I captured my first wedding with film and still adopt the same photographic principles today)
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A non staged portrait that will form part of the family history.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Picture of bride and groom standing by life sized cut out of The Rock Dwayne Johnson
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Umbrellas ! Hey, we are in England, rain is part of our culture. I will capture amazing images whatever the weather and do keep two or three white umbrellas in my car just incase.
Describe how you got into photography.
Was given a camera in my early teens which I still own and use. I have never been good at drawing but love to make images so photography is the next best thing. The advent of digital has made things even better and now I can digitally turn my images into drawings if I want.
