I was given my first camera at the tender age of 9 and from that very moment, I fell in love with capturing life around me. I was determined that important moments and people I loved were not to go unnoticed. I haven’t put the camera down since. This way of ‘seeing’ from that time onward was the perfect precursor to my career today.
Through years of university studying to be an architect, my love for photography was never far away and my dreams to capture memorable moments for others ultimately led me to my career as a wedding photographer. It’s an incredible privilege and responsibility to be able to bring alive a couple’s wedding day through photography long after the day itself has passed.
My signature approach is to shoot clean, editorial style wedding and portrait photos using natural light - a style of photography which is timeless. My design background as a trained architect helps me have an eye for simple lines and creative compositions and I apply this to every photo I take so that each one is like a piece of art, and when placed in a sequence, they unfold to tell a beautiful story.
In business for five years, when I’m not caring for two energetic children, discussing big dreams with my husband Jake or cooking for friends and family, I nurture my career and goals to travel the world by shooting a limited number of destination weddings annually.
When I look back at the photos I captured as a wide-eyed child all those years ago, I’m reminded that they are so much more than just images - they are a powerful reminder of the stories, people and relationships that led to that very moment. I look forward to creating unique, beautiful photography with you which will act as a window back to your wedding day - something you will share with your family, friends and future generations for years to come - treasured heirlooms to last a lifetime.
