Trained at the Royal Academy of Music, the Bell Quartet is a versatile ensemble with experience performing at weddings, functions and events, as well as recording and giving recitals. Recent highlights include playing for the launch of a new sports car at Althorp House, the appointment of a QC, and the birthday of a former Law Lord. The quartet has also recently recorded a live music video with vocal artist Matshidiso, and performed at Eton College, Radlett Music Club, Brundibár Arts Festival, and the Marylebone Music Festival.
The Bell Quartet was established by sisters Rebecca and Hannah Bell, Erik Fauss and Joseph Keenan. The quartet won the Wolfe Wolfinsohn Quartet Prize at the Royal Academy in 2019. They maintain a busy performance schedule and have an ongoing relationship with Eton College, providing chamber tuition for their student ensembles. In addition to the traditional concert format, the quartet likes to explore alternative performance settings that transform the audience experience, such as performing ‘in the round’.
In their spare time, the Bell Quartet enjoys drinking tea and singing along to musical theatre at full volume.
