What is your most memorable wedding?
A themed Woodstock wedding in a Barn in Kent. Fabulous crowd danced all night to me singing, there was such a warm atmosphere, we all became hippies for the night and love filled the barn.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Professional, Dynamic, Breathy to Belt and Mindful of Ambience
What about your business are you most proud of?
I take great pride in having received 100% customer satisfaction to date! I retain a high standard and go that extra mile to ensure each wedding entertainment is unique to each couple.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I would suggest to couples to put thoughts to paper, hand their ideas to professional suppliers and then relax. If you choose the right suppliers they will ensure your dreams for the day are realised, then you should be able to just relax and enjoy every moment that unfolds.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I advised a couple booking my entertainment service that I would be joining them at 6 months pregnant, they were happy with that and proceeded with the booking. After my performance they provided me with a little gift which was a lovely unisex baby grow. They gave personal gifts to all their guests and suppliers which was ever so thoughtful.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once a couple wish to proceed with a booking following a quotation, I will get as much detail about their requirements and favoured music as possible by way of a questionnaire. This information will enable me to form their booking confirmation and contract paperwork. They will provide me with their 2 special songs which they would like me to learn and perform for them. I will also requests details of any announcements they would like me to make.
Paperwork concluded a cancellation fee will apply, they are not required to pay a deposit. I will contact the couple in the months leading up to the wedding day to note any changes and confirm any outstanding details to be confirmed. I am available to speak with them at anytime to answer any questions or concerns they may have.
What makes a romantic first dance?
A first dance does not have to be a slow number. It is about the meaning of the song to the couple, as it is when they are staring lovingly into each others eyes, with all their friends and family looking on and capturing how happy and in love they are, which makes it romantic.
What is your number one floor-filler?
Well I'd like to say I keep the floor filled because I read the crowd reaction and choose the right song at just the right moment. It changes depending on the party people. I do a coordinated soul train to the song 'Get Lucky' by Daft Punk & Pharrell and get everyone to join in. That goes down well and gives a fab photo opportunity!
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
So many to choose from - I guess The Supremes. I would like to have been around in the 60's/70's, music seemed so influential at that time.
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Well I think the song - All You Need is Love by The Beatles. The lyrics are great and I think it's true to life, as love is the most powerful force in the world in my view. Love can make anything possible, it uses every emotion we have to experience it and we can not be without it.
