SJB Hair and Makeup

I couldn't have picked a better hair and make up artist than Samantha Blake of SJB Hair and Makeup. I met Sam at a bridal shop where she was offering mini hair and make up to try on with the dresses and, whilst I didn't buy a dress from that shop, I did come away with a decision on who was doing the hair and make up for my big day. Sam tailored everything to me and the style I wanted, which was as natural as possible. She created hair and make up that made me feel beautiful on my wedding day, but also still like me. She and her assistant also made up my four bridesmaids and everyone was really happy with the look, plus our make up was still perfect at the end of the day, about 15 hours later! We were amazed because the wedding day was ridiculously hot. I can't recommend SJB enough, Sam is absolutely brilliant.

My sister and I were in London as "best men" for our brother's wedding and had no idea who to get to do our hair and make up. Luckily, we found Sam! She was so warm and friendly, meaning the morning was smooth sailing and fun. Her make up and hair was exceptional and looked spectacular in the photograph's. Sam is relaxed, kind, funny and great at hair and make up. I highly recommend her.

Diana was a true makeup professional. She promised to to make me look natural, but beautiful and she delivered (if I may be so humbled to say). Would certainly recommend SJB.

I found Sam via Google when searching for make-up artists in SE London/Kent. After reading such amazing reviews & visiting her Instagram page, I rang in the vain hope I could book her for x3 bridesmaid make-up in 2 weeks time. Thankfully Sam could squeeze us in due to the early start required & my gosh were we grateful. Sam is a fantastic artist. So professional. Her kit is amazing. She really listened to what we preferred in terms of looks, covering & colours but made great suggestions too...cluster lashes were definitely the way to go!! You may find cheaper artists elsewhere but in my opinion, you really do get what you pay for with something like makeup artistry. Plus, Sam is such a warm & genuine person, we all felt so relaxed getting ready in the morning, it was like we were amongst friends and that's what you want on a potentially stressful day. The amount of complements we received at the wedding was incredible. I highly recommend Sam & will definitely be booking her again in future. Sam was recommended to me and I couldn’t of asked for someone better to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. Sam was very professional and friendly from the very first phone call, right the way through the whole wedding process. My hair was exactly how I wanted it and my makeup was flawless. I tried a couple of different looks for my makeup and nothing was too much trouble for Sam. She was patient and so friendly throughout. On my wedding day, Sam was very calm and thorough. She helped me get in to my wedding dress, was answering my mobile while I was busy. She calmed my two boys who were walking me down the aisle. Fantastic! With such a large bridal party to organise for hair and make-up, Sam and her assistant made us all feel like a million dollars. Good fun, listened to our prefefences, and made us all feel at ease. We had a fabulous day and I felt like a film star. Thank you so, so much. I can highly recommend Sam and her team.

Sam was on my venue's ( Leeds Castle) list of preferred suppliers and now I can see why! I cannot recommend Sam highly enough it was like we were best friends and her skill at doing hair and makeup is amazing. She was brilliant at making me feel at ease and so professional. Any bride is lucky to have her :)

Sam is absolutely amazing at what she does. My hair and make up was perfect and I had so many wonderful comments at the wedding I attended. She is so professional yet friendly and personable. I thoroughly enjoyed getting ready with her. If only I could look like that every day!
