Situé au sommet d’une falaise surplombant la vallée de la Dordogne, le Château de Rouffillac incarne à lui seul l’élégance et le romantisme d’un conte de fées français. Restauré dans un style néogothique du XIXᵉ siècle, le château conserve ses caractéristiques historiques tout en offrant un confort moderne d’exception.
Le domaine, entièrement privatisé pour votre événement, se déploie sur 40 hectares de forêt, jardins en terrasses, ramparts et ruines d’une ancienne église romane. Vous pourrez choisir parmi plusieurs lieux de réception : une cérémonie dans la bibliothèque sculptée, un dîner sous les voûtes du cour d’honneur ou une soirée dansante près de la cascade de pierre de 15 m.
Le château propose 9 suites de charme, dont une suite royale avec salle de bain de prestige et vue panoramique, pour accueillir confortablement jusqu’à 20 personnes. La propriété dispose également d’une piscine à flanc de falaise avec vue infinie, un spa privé (hammam, studio de yoga, salle de fitness) et divers espaces de détente.

From each guest suite to the indoor and outdoor living areas, and the entire property itself. I am personally responsible for all my guests staying at Chateau Rouffillac as I run Awe, The Arts & Wellness Experience. This was our first year (of many going forward) staying at the Chateau and we stayed for 2 weeks. It had been bumped twice due to the pandemic and Cassandra and Kirk could not have been more gracious and helpful throughout the navigating of this situation. They worked with us through the entire process answering all our questions and helping to make the experience the best possible by recommending places to go, things to see and experiences, as well as, sharing their amazing wellness experts, Enrique, Dean, and Laurocia. Before our stay at the Chateau, Cassandra continually sent me all the exciting updates that they were doing to the property. Being fairly new owners at the time, they dedicated their love and passion to making improvements in all aspects of the property all while keeping the true character of the castle. I slept in the Royal Suite and each guest had their own beautifully appointed suite that they fell in love with. If there were any issues (which understandably there will be in a 12th century castle!) they were minimal and attended to right away. For instance, one of the bedroom showers wasn't draining on arrival. This was resolved immediately and certainly cast no reflection of negativity on our stay! Any reasonable person would understand that little things come up like this especially while improvements are continually being made. This is just part of the great charm of a magical property like this. As Kirk so eloquently put "we are simply all guests of the Chateau. It does not belong to us, but rather we belong to it". I think that some people have lost sight of this and have unreasonable expectations thinking that they deserve "perfection" based on their 21st century perception. Though the Chateau is a true 5 star luxury accommodation this is not what the Chateau is about. Chateau Rouffillac is a magical experience filled with incredible energy that all its guests should feel blessed to take a part in. I have attached a few pictures below and I laugh as I did not take many pictures of the inside of the castle. I remember feeling that I did not need to as the pictures on the Chateau Rouffillac website represents them perfectly. I can not recommend more highly that if you are looking to stay in a true fairy tale castle that will transcend you and your guests to a magical place then you should stay at Chateau Rouffillac. I also recommend that you consider what your expectations are before making the decision to stay at Chateau Rouffillac. Chateau Rouffillac deserves only love, patience, and positive energy. We rented both the Chateau and Villa for 28 people. Each room was unique and truly transported our guests to the French countryside while still offering the most upscale amenities like air conditioning. The location was perfect for short trips to Sarlat and other famous medieval villages. We had the wedding trip of our dreams and we know all our guests will remember it forever because of the full experience. I cannot recommend this venue enough and hope to be back in the future! In a country filled with options, Chateau de Rouffillac is truly one of a kind. Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special trip — we are forever thankful!This past summer we hosted our destination wedding at Chateau Rouffillac and the entire experience was a fairytale! There is a new heated pool, with a stunning pool house, and a beautiful area to relax in. Also by the pool was an easy to use sound system, a fridge, and BBQ! Swimming with the views of the forest, valleys, and chateau is so special! Inside it's spectacular! Unlike anything else in the world. Where art and history meet luxury! This place oozes character, grace, and beauty. A remarkable chateau that makes you feel like you're living in a real fairytale. I particularly love the library full of art and old books. We spent a wonderful evening in there as a family playing charades. It's a magical place to connect with family, nature, history, and something bigger! Also, this is the perfect place for families as the pool area also has a shallow pool for young children to swim in. Plus there's a new fun trampoline build into the ground, which our son loved! Each room has a unique artistic touch, everything has been so thought out and amazing. Could not recommend staying here more! The grounds are beautiful with amazing landscaping. I spent so many hours at the pool - it is perfectly warmed with amazing lighting! The added trampoline is such a fun touch for the adults and the kids! I hope to come back many times again! The most beautiful place to stay. Every aspect of this Chateau is perfect. Each room has a unique artistic touch, everything has been so thought out and amazing. The rooms were all so well appointed and the bathrooms exquisite - unexpected for such a historical chateau. We have recommended to many friends and family and will continue to do so until we can return again! I would give six stars if I could!
