L'Essentiel

We celebrated our wedding on February 3, 2024 at l'Essentiel, and it was a real success thanks to a friendly place, a magnificent environment, and a great team. Thanks to Mathieu and his team! Martin and Cécile

We were very lucky to be able to get married at the gîte L'essentiel and to show our guests a fabulous setting. The place completely met our expectations in terms of space and sleeping possibilities. We were won over by this very warm place and by the friendly atmosphere that it gave us. The manager and his team were very professional and available. They fully participated in the smooth running and success of our wedding.

The apartments are ultra comfortable for guests, the charm of the wood in the main room and a dream landscape around the cottage make it a top of the top place for a wedding or reception in the heart of the mountains. Mathieu and his team are used to managing this type of event and took great care of our wedding. Highly recommended!

We are very satisfied with the choice of l'Essentiel for our wedding of just under 100 people. The modularity of the venue between the outdoor spaces, the large rooms and the apartments allowed all the guests to feel at home during this extended weekend in May. The equipment is adapted and Mathieu's advice was useful to us in adjusting the small details of the organization. We trusted him for the dinner.

The goal was to find a venue in an area that favored a change of scenery, in a mountainous setting and where ideally we could accommodate our sixty guests, thus avoiding them having to drive late at night and drunk. Gîte l'Essentiel ticked all the boxes. Mathieu and Perrine were exceptional in their professionalism in organizing our wedding. They complied with all our requests, without stress and with great serenity.

We celebrated our wedding at the Gite l’Essentiel. Everything was perfect, Mathieu was available, accommodating and attentive during all the preparations and the stay (despite the particular and complicated context of this last year). We owe him a very beautiful moment of emotion in all serenity and in a truly superb setting! We appreciated the little novelty of the covered terrace as well as the part adjoining the reception room.

We rented this cottage for a whole weekend to celebrate our wedding. It was perfect! The large wooden terrace (where we had the reception) and the large garden (where we had the ceremony) allow you to enjoy the setting which is magnificent. We were about 80 guests, the room is perfect, big enough to eat and dance. There is also a wooden bar, with a beer tap, where everyone loved to meet at the end of the evening.

We don't know where to start because we are so delighted to have chosen l'Essentiel for our wedding!! This place allowed us to welcome all our guests, to be able to enjoy a covered terrace with its beautiful view for our secular ceremony but also to have at our disposal an ultra well-equipped room (bar, beer taps, sound system, table football, etc.). The owner, Mathieu is great.

We celebrated our wedding at the gîte l'Essentiel in June 2022. The place is magnificent: an incredible view of the surrounding mountains (even if a few high-voltage lines spoil some of the panoramas a little). There is plenty to walk/hike around. The place is remote (and therefore quiet/isolated) while remaining easily accessible by a beautiful road. The gîte itself is large, the main room allowed us to dine with ~100 people without any worries.

We were looking for an unusual, warm and friendly place to celebrate our wedding. We fell in love with this place which allowed us to accommodate all our guests. Matthieu and Perrine are kind, very professional, understanding and (very) accommodating! The place has a covered terrace which allowed us to celebrate our secular ceremony and to have our reception with a view of the mountains, despite the rain which was falling, a real plus!
