Domaine du Métayer

The Domaine du Métayer was born from a simple desire: to create a place where you immediately feel good. An elegant but lively place, warm without being frozen, designed to welcome real moments of sharing around those who matter most.

Just 30 minutes from La Rochelle, the estate takes place in an old farm from 1836 completely rehabilitated. Harmonie and Jean-Baptiste imagined a place in their image: sincere, welcoming and deeply turned towards the experience lived by the bride and groom and their guests.

Here, the spaces have been designed to naturally accompany the rhythm of the wedding. The preparations surrounded by loved ones, a ceremony in the garden, a cocktail that continues at sunset, large lively tables, guests who freely enjoy the outdoors, then the long evenings that no one really wants to see end.

The Domaine du Métayer hosts weddings where we take the time to fully enjoy every moment and every person present. The atmosphere is elegant but never stinged, structured but always fluid, with this rare feeling of being able to live a marriage as beautiful as it is natural.

The estate has several complementary outdoor spaces, a covered courtyard, a bright reception room designed to receive up to 150 seated guests, as well as spaces allowing each moment of the wedding to naturally find its place over the weekend.

Because a wedding is not just about a few hours of reception, the Domaine du Métayer also offers rooms with private bathrooms to extend the experience on site, in a more intimate and peaceful atmosphere. Last exchanges of the evening, wake-up shared with loved ones, breakfast of the next day... here, the wedding continues to be lived until the last moments.

Throughout the preparations, Harmonie and Jean-Baptiste accompany each couple with availability, simplicity and attention. Their approach is based above all on listening, the fluidity of the organization and the pleasure of receiving in a place designed to be fully lived.

The Domaine du Métayer finally benefits from an ideal location, close to La Rochelle, Rochefort and Niort, as well as only 5 minutes from the Surgères TGV station, allowing guests to enjoy the weekend serenely and without travel constraints.
