Description

The estate has been in the same family for six centuries. The stables were built between 1648 and 1652 by Henriette de La Guiche, goddaughter of Henri IV, for the princely guard of her husband, Louis Emmanuel de Valois, grandson of King Charles IX, colonel general of the light cavalry. François Blondel, architect of Louis XIV, claims to be the author. The richly decorated facades of this equestrian palace, punctuated by two monumental staircases, were preserved during the Revolution. The architecture and interior layout, inspired by an ingenious project by Leonardo da Vinci, make it the most Italian of the stables in France.

Everything was perfect

From the moment of contact to the day after reception, everything was absolutely perfect. Ms. de Laguiche and her manager are absolutely charming people, they were able to answer all our questions and our expectations despite the difficulties linked to the health situation! Thanks to them for everything!

Magnificent setting

Incredible setting for your weddings and reception. We were charmed from the first visit, and our guests were delighted when they arrived. The park is still very well maintained, even 3 days after a major hailstorm. The 3 different rooms allow you to combine guests, dance floor, caterer's place. Large parking lot provided. We were able to place 200 guests in the central room to keep a dance floor free which we also used for cocktails (rain). This is the advantage of this place: the bad weather plan is practical and already installed at no additional cost. Plan a budget for the rental of furniture, and an experienced caterer because there is no installation on site. Gite for 15 people on site. Madame de la Guiche and her manager were welcoming and attentive and we thank them. We warmly recommend the Chaumont estate!
