Dans le département de la Haute-Garonne, le Château de Conques est idéalement situé à 20 minutes de Toulouse, 35 minutes d’Albi et 40 minutes de Montauban. visiter le château l'histoire du château chateau de conques location salle mariage L’histoire du Château de Conques commence au XIème siècle quand des moines bénédictins venus de l’Abbaye de Moissac et de Sainte Foy de Conques construisent un prieuré. Au XVIème celui-ci est acheté par Jean de Gineste, Baron de Mézens, juge-mage de Toulouse. La légende raconte que les moines auraient vendu le monastère pour aider à payer la rançon de François 1er capturé à Pavie en 1525... Jean de Gineste rase le prieuré, mais conserve sa chapelle, et construit un premier château de style moyenâgeux. Ce château fut détruit par Jacquette de Gineste dite « Dame de Conques ». Elle épouse en 1780 Jean-Benoît du Cos, vicomte de la Hitte, colonel de cavalerie et fait construire l’actuel château dans un style classique d’inspiration toscane. En 1850 le château est acheté par le comte de Rocques, ses descendants s’en sépareront en 1947. Le château de Conques est toujours resté une demeure familiale. C’est dans cet esprit que les propriétaires actuels, Sophie et Jean-Luc Villeroy, ont entrepris sa conservation et la poursuite de sa restauration.

Forget the expense of providing services for a weeding planner, Sophie and Jean Luc are at your disposal before, before and after the wedding. absolutely magnificent place...absolutely magnificent place...
The Château de Conques is an absolutely magnificent place where we took advantage of the hospitality of Sophie and Jean-Luc to celebrate our wedding there last September. The Château itself is already exceptional: an imposing historic kitchen, a magnificent blue living room, or even a sublime interior courtyard with a fountain and beautiful brick arches that recall the region. Add to this a very well-maintained park on the banks of the Tarn and small places full of charm: a chapel, a kiosk... and you obtain a place suitable for organizing large events such as a wedding. Note that the castle is available from Friday 8 a.m. to Sunday 6 p.m. with the possibility of coming to clean up on Monday morning, which is rare and appreciated. There are also no constraints on evening times and no corkage fee. The choice of service providers is free, it just needs to be validated by Sophie and Jean-Luc. It is also possible to rent small furniture directly. The castle also has around ten rooms that can accommodate around 25 people with a very good homemade breakfast.
