Good Robot Brewing – Robie Street is an urban brewery venue in the heart of Halifax, Nova Scotia, built for couples who want their wedding to feel like an unforgettable night out with their favourite people. The vibe is fun, social, and unpretentious (more “best party of the year” than banquet hall) with flexible space that can be configured for cocktail-style celebrations, seated dinners, speeches, and dancing.
Our space is ideal for modern, non-traditional weddings, welcome parties, engagement parties, rehearsal gatherings, and late-night receptions. Couples love the built-in atmosphere: a lively bar, warm lighting, and the kind of energy that keeps guests mingling instead of sitting quietly at assigned tables all night. Depending on your guest count and event format, we can help you create a layout that supports a smooth flow between key moments (arrival drinks, toasts, first dance, late-night snacks, and last call).
As a working brewery, we’re best known for our craft beer and hospitality. Beverage service is handled in-house by an experienced team, and we can tailor drink offerings to fit your event, from simple beer-forward packages to curated selections that suit your tastes and your crowd. Food options can be arranged to match your preferred style of service and your vision for the night.

We got a pear cider and grapefruit cider - both were delicious. We got some snacks that were also delicious. The bread was to die for. The street corn was also incredible. Yes — full venue buyouts are available. For partial bookings, the venue may remain open to the public.
What types of wedding events do you host?
Receptions, welcome parties, rehearsal gatherings, engagement parties, and late-night celebrations. Best fit for relaxed, social, non-traditional weddings.
Can we host our ceremony on-site?
Sometimes — it depends on guest count, timing, and layout. Cocktail-style ceremonies are usually the easiest fit. Ask us and we’ll confirm quickly.
What’s your venue style?
Urban brewery vibes: lively, unpretentious, and built for mingling. Think “best party” energy, not ballroom.
What’s your guest capacity?
It varies based on layout (seated vs cocktail). We have 4 separate rooms, each with varying capacities and a total venue capacity of 220 guests. Tell us your guest count and preferred format and we’ll recommend what works best.
Do you have a minimum spend?
For most wedding bookings, yes. Minimum spend depends on day, season, and whether you want exclusive use.
Do you provide catering?
Food options depend on the booking format and what you’re looking for. We’ll walk you through what’s available and what works best for your group.
Do you provide alcohol?
Yes. We can also accommodate requests.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The Taproom and The GastroTurf (Beer Garden) are accessible. The building is decades-old and unfortunately, The Mousetrap and The Mezzanine are upstairs with only staircase access.
Is there parking?
Street parking nearby. We recommend ride-share for late-night events, and we can suggest nearby lots/parking options.
