Unlike other wineries, it doesn’t operate a public cellar door or restaurant, so your celebration is completely yours—private, intimate, and unforgettable. Whether you’re planning a cozy gathering of 60 or a lively party of up to 180 guests, this versatile space offers the perfect backdrop for your special day.
Venue Spaces and Features
- Ceremony and Reception Locations: Say “I do” on the charming cellar door lawns, surrounded by sweeping vineyard views and a beautiful old fig tree. After the ceremony, your guests can relax with pre-dinner drinks and canapés on the spacious lawns. For the reception, enjoy the newly renovated dining room and adjoining terrace, complete with a premium clear marquee to keep everyone comfortable no matter the season.
- Picturesque Setting: Capture timeless wedding photos on the deck and lawn areas, framed by the rolling hills of McLaren Vale and the winery’s elegant stone-clad buildings—evoking the feel of a Tuscan escape.
- Included Amenities: To make planning easier, the venue provides essentials like 50 white Americana chairs for your ceremony, a signing table, and an outdoor sound system. For the reception, you’ll have white bentwood dining chairs, custom dining tables, linen napkins, cocktail furniture, plus a cake table, gift box, indoor sound system, and wireless microphones.
Catering and Packages
Simon Hackett Winery offers in-house catering and bar services with flexible packages to match your style—from casual pizza parties and shared dinners to elegant formal meals. If you have a favorite caterer or want a unique menu, external catering is welcome. There’s also a “dry hire” option, letting you bring your own food and drinks. Please note, Friday weddings require a minimum spend for 60 guests, and Saturdays for 80 guests.
