Farm Café is a charming wedding venue at Collingwood Children’s Farm, in Abbotsford. The venue is only 5 km from the city centre, and surrounded by farm paddocks and bushlands, creating a romantic and natural setting.
Outdoor wedding ceremonies are organised on the grounds, in charming spots, and receptions typically take place in the barn. A popular option for outdoor ceremonies is under the 150-year-old oak tree by the river.

Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour
Venue provides the following for your ceremony:
- 4.30 or 5.30 wedding ceremony
- Event planner
- 30 ceremony chairs
- Signing table and chairs
- Lighting
- Gas heaters
- Water stations
After the ceremony, the team can offer drinks and canapé service before the reception, including sparkling wine, sodas and beer from the Classic or Premium beverage package.
Farm Café Iconic Receptions
The two event spaces at Farm Café are:
- The Café: Photogenic location, filled with plants; includes heaters and coolers and dancing area; capacity: 55 seated guests, 70 cocktail-style
- The Barn: Heritage-listed building with open beams, fireplace and distinctive character; included are timber furniture, flowers and lighting; capacity: 110 seated guests, 150 cocktail-style
Wedding Menus at Farm Café
There are three menu options for your reception:
- Three-course seated menu: Includes roaming canapés, main course and mini desserts
- Two-course seated menu: Roaming canapés and main course
- Cocktail menu: A selection of bite-sized food item
Drink packages, classic and premium selection of beers, wines and non-alcoholic beverages. The venue offers pre-mixed cocktails, served at a bar with garnishes.

The Farm Café team prepared a list of optional wedding enhancements. For example, you can customise your two-course menu with cheese tower or create your signature ice-cream flavour.

- DDin26/04/2024Highly recommended.Highly recommended.We held the first part of our wedding reception at the Collingwood Children's farm on Boxing Day, organised and held via the Farm Cafe, and it was a stunning day! Carina, Amelia and the rest of the cafe staff were friendly, efficient and fully on top of things. The menu was entirely gluten free as we requested, and was delicious (the smoked salmon main was my favourite). Our guests enjoyed strolling about the farm and the general ambience. And we could not have been happier with this decision. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be - it had all of the beautiful traditional elements of a wedding that we love, in a relaxed, rustic environment that was the perfect setting for a day that was FUN.
